College Life: Week one

As of tomorrow I have been at college for a week. So far my experience has been great! I've learned great things about my major and I'm really enjoying my to-be instructors, advisers, and class mates. Everyone keeps asking me what I'm most excited for in the weeks, months, and years to come. To answer them all I can say is that, because of my experiences this week, I can see where I'm going. To be able to see my college plan is so helpful. In four years my degree with allow me to get into:
  • Office management/administration
  • Public relations or promotional work
  • Hotel or restaurant management
  • Marketing
  • Leisure and tourism
  • Arts administration

Cool right? I think so anyways. Because I am a part of the Bridge program, which is for a credit, we have to do small projects. One of them was a career research project. The rough draft was the only thing due this week but I am going to post it as an attachment here. If you would like to know more about what I'm doing I encourage you to read it. Constructive feedback would be helpful!

As far as my social life is going, I have to say that it's great! I've made a lot of friends which is awesome! The city of Indianapolis is starting to grow on me. I love being able to ride my bike/walk any where I want to go and I have yet to feel scared or nervous while out and about. I do miss hearing birds in the morning instead of beeping construction trucks though. Riding around the canal has been really fun too. It's a very pretty place and there's so much to look at. It's easy to get distracted because of the vibrant colors on some of the walls and the rustic, yet beautiful, buildings catch your eye. Living here kind of forces you to work out. All of the bike riding, walking, and stair stepping really gets your heart pumping.

Thank you to everyone for the prayers this week! I love and miss all of you.
