Today started out as a bright and sunny Friday. Morning swimming lessons were finished and I was showered and ready to go out with Gerrit. He got off work early and our adventure began around 12.
"What is all over you?" I said to my boyfriend as he got out of his truck.
"Cow poop, Lindsey. Duh..." He opened the passengers side door for me like a gentlemen and we headed for his house so he could shower.
Once he was finished we sat around awhile deciding what to do with our afternoon. We wanted to go to the beach but the weather was not cooperating whats so ever. Our little town really needs the rain though so it's OK. "Well... lets just go out for lunch and a movie." Gerrit stated.
"Alright sounds good to me." We headed up north.
"I kind of want Olive Garden Lindsey."
"Yeah that sounds good."
"Go check out the wait." I went inside and asked the lady inside but found out that the wait was 40 minutes! We were really hungry so that was just to long. "Lets try that Asparagus restaurant the guy at church told us about."
"OK, lets try it out." So we found the restaurant and went inside. It was pretty fancy and we were probably a little under dressed but we didn't care. Egg rolls were our appetizer and they were awesome! For my entree I got lime talapia (whatever that means) and Gerrit got some kind of salmon. At first we really liked it! After a while the different spices and awkward tastes got weird and not to good. I think because of our intense hunger we were able to finish it all. We even got apple crisp for desert. "I don't know about you Gerrit but that place was a little weird for me..."
"Ha. Same here."
"So what movie do you want to see?"
"I'll look at the movie times." He pulled out his phone and we looked at our choices, which were few.
"There really isn't anything good playing is there."
"No not really... lets just see the Abraham Lincoln one."
"Seriously?" I said a bit surprised.
"Sure."
"OK. Ha." We go into the theater and the ticket line is almost out the door! I decided to wait in line at the snacks while Gerrit goes to save us seats. It wasn't two minutes later and he comes back in line with me. "What's up?"
"We wont have to worry about not having seats. There's like three people in there. Ha."
"Oh man... that's not a good sign." We sat down and waited for it to start. Surprisingly enough it was great! Both of us really enjoyed it. We were just so blown away that we liked it! I mean come on... It's called Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter! But it was so good! To top the night off we got some fire works and sat around a camp fire with Zachary and Marie. All in all it was a remember-able night.
